1. How do I become a member of SDU Yoga Club?

Becoming a member is easy. You purchase your membership here through: NemTilmeld, and you’ll gain access to our yoga classes, events and community throughout the semester. You can become a member at any point during the semester.

2. What does membership include?

Membership gives you access to:

  • Weekly yoga classes throughout the semester
  • Social events

It’s a great way to improve your wellbeing while meeting fellow students and becoming part of a welcoming community.

3. What does it cost to become a member?

Membership costs 300 dkk and can are purchased through NemTilmeld.

4. When and where do the classes take place?

Our yoga classes take place every Tuesday during the semester (except during the autumn and Easter holidays) from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

The doors open at 17:00 giving members the opportunity to relax, chat and get to know each other before class.

Classes are usually held in Grotten at SDU in Odense.

5. What type of yoga do you teach?

We offer a variety of yoga styles suitable for different experience levels, including:

  • Hatha Yoga
  • Vinyasa Yoga
  • Yin Yoga

Our classes are beginner-friendly while still providing a rewarding practice for more experienced yogis.

6. Do I need previous yoga experience?

Not at all! Our classes are open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Our instructors provide guidance and modifications so everyone can practice at their own pace.

7. What should I bring to class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

If you have your own yoga mat, you’re welcome to bring it, but yoga mats are usually available at our classes.

8. Can I attend a class before becoming a member?

Yes! We offer drop-in classes throughout the semester, and we also host free trial classes at the beginning of each semester.

9. How do I sign up for drop-in classes?

Drop-in classes can be booked through our booking system NemTilmeld and cost 50 dkk. Spaces are limited, so we recommend signing up in advance to secure your spot.

10. Can I join if I’m not an SDU student?

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome.

Please note that if you’re not an SDU student, you won’t have access to the university buildings after 17:00, when the doors are locked. But you can simply arrive before 17:00.

11. Can I join if I’m an SDU employee?

Yes. SDU employees are very welcome to become members.

Please note that SDU Yoga Club is a student association and our activities are primarily designed for students. However, employees are welcome to participate and become part of our community.

12. How can I stay updated about classes and events?

Follow us on social media and check our website regularly.

13. Is SDU Yoga Club only about yoga?

No! While yoga is at the heart of what we do, we’re also a student community.

Throughout the year we organise social events that help members connect and relax.

14. How can I become a volunteer?

We’re always happy to welcome enthusiastic volunteers!

As a volunteer, you might help with:

  • Planning and organising events
  • Supporting social activities
  • Assisting before and after yoga classes
  • Marketing and social media
  • Building our student community

15. Can I become a yoga teacher at SDU Yoga Club?

Yes! We’re always interested in hearing from passionate yoga teachers.

If you’re a certified yoga instructor or currently completing your teacher training and enjoy working with students – we’d love to hear from you.

Teaching at SDU Yoga Club is a great opportunity to gain experience, inspire others and become part of a welcoming community.
